WEREWOLF

        GIRL by Suraya A - Y7

She curled up in a ball as the blood- curdling screaming of her parents rattled in her brain. The werewolf howled to the moon as it climbed the stairs sniffing Ivy out. Ivy screamed as the werewolf broke down her crimson door and shattered it into millions of splinters. Her scream echoed through the hallways as the werewolf bit the girl on her pale neck leaving blood dripping down onto the wood she lay on. The werewolf scampered out of the lifeless house and disappeared into the darkness.

Ivy woke the next full moon, her eyes as red as blood. She howled to the moon as her body began to grow fur and her teeth were as sharp as knives. As for her cut, it had miraculously healed when she transformed. Ivy was a werewolf!

The next morning, she found herself on the streets of London lying on the cold, damp floor. In panic, Ivy ran away as her brown, tangled hair bounced on her torn clothes and droplets of tears ran down her frightened face. The only things she remembered was the face of the blood- thirsty werewolf and the screams of her deceased parents. Ivy didn’t know what to do. She had no home. No family and she was now a werewolf only she didn’t know it.

Ivy travelled for many miles until she came across a house in the middle of the woods. It was old and battered and was made of unstable wood all nailed together. She slowly crept up to the house and opened the ancient door that creaked with every movement. Inside was a lonely bed with a thin, scratchy sheet. Ivy was about to step in when a long, wrinkly hand touched her fragile shoulder. She jumped.

“What are you doing in my house?” screamed the old lady.

“Please let me stay for the night,” pleaded Ivy desperately.

“Fine,” said the old lady stiffly.

Suddenly, Ivy remembered something. Something horrible.

“I’m a werewolf,” She muttered.

“I know,” whispered the old lady in a menacing voice as she transformed into a werewolf.

Ivy panicked and ran to the kitchen not knowing what to do. Looking out of the window, she saw the moon and howled in delight. Ivy turned into a werewolf ready to face her opponent.  The werewolf went to pounce at Ivy, baring its razor- sharp teeth. Just as it leapt into the air, Ivy grabbed the horrifying beast and threw it across the room. It rose from the floor and lunged at Ivy, prepared to kill. She ducked as the werewolf came flying over and landed with a heap on the floor. Ivy threw a knife at its leg making sure it was in too much pain to put up a fight. Snarling, she ran at the werewolf and embedded her teeth in its neck as it slowly fell into an endless sleep.

She had killed it. Ivy slumped to the floor as she transformed into a human, breaking the curse.
