Dangerous
Dancing
By Lillie F –
Year 9
When will
you find something, you can stick with?
A trend that
is safe for all
Cus now so
many people have no lives to live
So many
people - small and tall -
Have nothing
left to give
All because
of your dangerous dancing
Prancing
around on busy streets
Not caring
about your fate
By the time
you change it might just be too late
All because
of the sound of the clock (tic tok)
So please
let this be a warning
Cus so many
people are now in mourning
So now let’s
change, what can still be fixed
Before the
tick tock of the clock runs out
And there
will be no more just dancing
Only your
dangerous dancing
Covid by Hattie H Year 8
Dark clouds surround the world.
Silently spreading its deadly virus.
The name unknown to the name well known:
Corona virus.
Children sent home, schoolbooks in hand.
Lock down happened.
Toilet paper shortages and panic buying on essential travel
trips.
Staying 2 meters apart for our safety.
Hands, face, space.
The words floating in the air, a new language.
Zoom calls to once familiar faces.
Sharing newly found baking skills with strangers on the
internet.
Boredom.
Rainbows in the windows for the heroes.
Bubbles formed to help one another.
Lateral flow tests, just in case.
All to help us get out of this place.
Vaccines were developed, boosters came next.
Going down in priorities.
The world breathed a fresh new air.
